Privacy Policy

quickerText ("we," "our," "us") is operated by Cannappy LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our voice dictation application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign in via Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and provider-issued user ID. We do not collect or store passwords.

Voice & Audio Data: When you use quickerText, audio from your microphone is streamed for speech-to-text processing. We do not store raw audio on our servers.

Transcription Data: Transcribed text (and AI-polished versions, if AI mode is active) is stored in your transcription history for up to 90 days.

Usage Data: We track word counts and feature usage to enforce plan limits and improve the service.

Device Information: Basic device type, operating system, and app version for crash reporting and compatibility.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the voice dictation service
• To process speech into text and apply AI cleanup when you enable it
• To enforce plan word limits and manage your subscription
• To diagnose bugs and improve the app
• To communicate service updates (you can opt out at any time)

3. Third-Party Data Processing

quickerText uses third-party services to process your voice data. We believe in full transparency about who handles your data and how.

Deepgram (Speech-to-Text): Your audio is streamed to Deepgram for real-time transcription. Deepgram does not retain audio or transcripts after processing completes. Deepgram may retain usage and telemetry logs for approximately 90 days. For current terms, see Deepgram's Privacy Policy.

Anthropic (AI Text Cleanup): When AI mode is active (one or more AI toggles are enabled), your transcribed text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API for cleanup. Under Anthropic's default API data handling policy, API inputs and outputs are deleted within approximately 30 days. Customers with a separate data processing agreement may have different terms. Your opt-out path: If you disable all AI toggles and use STT-only mode, your transcribed text is never sent to Anthropic. Only Deepgram processes your audio, and it retains nothing after processing.

RevenueCat (Payments): Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. We share your anonymous user ID with RevenueCat to manage your subscription status. RevenueCat does not receive your audio or transcription data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare (Infrastructure): Our backend runs on Cloudflare Workers. Data stored in Cloudflare D1 and KV is encrypted at rest by default.

4. Data Retention

• Transcription history is automatically deleted after 90 days via a scheduled cleanup process.
• You may delete individual transcriptions at any time from the History screen.
• You may delete all transcription history at once from Account settings.
• Account data (name, email, preferences) is retained as long as your account is active.
• If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Data Export & Portability

You may export your full transcription history as JSON or plain text at any time through the app or via an authenticated API endpoint.

6. Data Security

• All data in transit is encrypted via TLS.
• Data at rest in Cloudflare D1 and KV is encrypted by default.
• Authentication tokens are encrypted before storage.
• We use asymmetric cryptography (RS256/ES256) for all token signing — no shared secrets.
• API keys for third-party services are stored in Cloudflare Workers Secrets, never in code or databases.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete your personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent at any time

8. Children's Privacy

quickerText is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of quickerText after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
